Inter carries it. Calluna when a serif earns its place.
Inter does almost all the work — UI, labels, body, display. Calluna is the serif companion, reserved for the logo and select editorial body where a softer voice fits. The restraint is still the point.

THREE ROLES
Display, 700
HEADLINES · HERO COPY · POSTER TITLES
32–96px · letter-spacing −0.02 to −0.035em · line-height 1.02 to 1.1
Body, 400. Running copy lives here — an email, an article, the paragraph explaining a ministry. Usually left-aligned, ragged right. Centered when the composition is symmetric by design.
BODY · EMAILS · ARTICLES · BROCHURES
14–18px for web · 10–13px in print · line-height 1.55 to 1.7
LABEL, 700, TRACKED
EYEBROWS · CHIPS · SMALL ACCENTS · METADATA
8–12px · letter-spacing 0.14 to 0.28em · always uppercase
HIERARCHY RULES
Default jump is 400 to 700. Mid-weights (500/600) are fine for subtle UI hierarchy. Use weight, a gold rule, or italics for emphasis — just don't stack them. Never set body copy in all-caps.
Calluna. Warmth where a serif earns it.
Used in the new logo and in select body copy — editorial passages, quote cards, pastoral letters — where Inter would feel too neutral. Calluna is a licensed font; wire up the @font-face source in the stylesheet when the files arrive.

WHEN TO REACH FOR IT
In the logo.
The new wordmark uses Calluna — a warmer serif voice than Inter, still restrained.
In editorial body — pastoral letters, long-form articles, quote cards — when the voice should slow down and the reader should linger.
EDITORIAL BODY · QUOTE CARDS
"This is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent." — John 17:3
ITALIC · SCRIPTURE · QUIET ASIDES
WHEN NOT TO REACH FOR IT
UI labels, buttons, navigation, metadata, data tables. When the voice should be neutral and efficient, Inter carries it.
White is the room. Everything else is used sparingly.
White is the default canvas. It's what a viewer sees most of the time — the ground of most surfaces, the breathing room between elements, the reset between moments.
Navy and off-white are both accent grounds, used in different amounts. Navy carries the structural weight — roughly 30% of most surfaces. Off-white is rarer, around 10%, for warmth and editorial moments.
Gold stays rare — a rule, a label, a small chip. If it's the first thing the eye lands on, there's too much of it.
THE RULE
White dominates. Navy carries structural weight. Off-white accents with warmth. Gold punctuates. Every composition should respect that order.
Proportional share
White
~55% · default canvas
Navy
~30% · accent ground
Off-white
~10% · accent ground
Navy outweighs off-white. Off-white is the lighter accent, used sparingly for warmth — never as the default ground where white would serve.
Photos carry the weight. The system gets out of the way.
When a photo is in a layout, the photo is the message. Type, color, and graphic elements are supporting cast — not competing personalities.
This means: no color overlays on photos except navy (for legibility of white text). No gold tints, no duotones, no filters. Gold shows up only in the supporting type — eyebrows, rules, small accents — never on the image itself.
White text on photography. Navy text on light grounds beside photography. No off-white text on photography — it doesn't hold up on varied backgrounds.
THE RULE
If the image is strong, the composition around it should be quiet. If the composition is complex, the image should be quiet.

A church
for the ordinary.
We started in 2012 with a few families, some borrowed chairs, and a conviction that the gospel is still good news for people who are tired, unsure, or just starting over.
Fourteen years later, we're still at it — preaching through whole books of the Bible, gathering in homes, and making room for whoever walks through the door.
